David Saltman (former Executive Director of the Surfrider Foundation) has gathered some of surfboard shaping’s greatest minds and developed an eco-friendly line of furniture that echoes their elegant form into a new medium. He calls it - Nomad Mobili.

the SIMMONS COFFEE TABLE
“Bob Simmons developed the theories of modern surfboard design. He did so in the 1940’s, light years ahead of his time. He died surfing the outside reef at Windansea, my home break. This is my tribute to his vision.”
-TIM BESSELL

the BIOSYMETRIC TABLE
“This piece was inspired by my investigations with asymmetric surfboard design, combined with the beautiful taper of eucalyptus leaves that cover the hillsides of Southern California.”
-CARL EKSTROM

the SUNSET LOUNGE
“This shape was inspired by the lines of an outrigger canoe, the peak at Sunset Beach, and Frank Laszlo’s davenport for Brown/Saltman. I hope it will serve as a perfect resting place to watch the Earth turn.”

Durable, non-toxic and made from a soy-based polyurethane foam, these designs test the boundaries of style as well as sustainability.
